Privacy policy

This policy explains how VietGara, a product of VietTechno (“we”), collects and uses personal information when you visit vietgara.vn, contact us or use the VietGara service.

1. Who is responsible for which data

• Account data and data from this website (the e-mail, name and phone number of garage owners, staff and people who contact us): VietTechno is the controller.
• Data a garage enters into VietGara (the garage’s customers, vehicles, quotes, repair orders, payments): the garage is the controller, and VietTechno only processes it on the garage’s behalf under the Terms of use. If you are a customer of a garage and want to exercise your rights, contact that garage; we help the garage to act on them.

2. What we collect

When you send the contact form: your name, garage name, phone number, e-mail (if you enter one), your message, when you agreed, your browser type, the page language, and a one-way hash of your IP address used to limit repeated requests. We do not store the raw IP address with the request.

When you sign up and use VietGara: e-mail, name, phone number, language, password (stored only as a hash), two-step sign-in details if you turn it on, and a log of important actions.

Technical data: server logs record a user identifier, the time and the kind of request, to run and secure the service.

This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from robots; that service may keep minimal technical data in your browser for that purpose.

We do not sell personal information and do not use what you send through the contact form for unrelated advertising.

4. Who receives it

We share information only with those needed to run the service, under data protection contracts:

• the provider of the servers in Vietnam where VietGara’s data is kept;
• the provider that sends transactional e-mail (Mailjet);
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and provides the Turnstile anti-spam service;
• Google, if you choose to sign in with a Google account.

Some of these may process data outside Vietnam. For that we follow the procedures that Vietnamese data protection law requires. We may also provide information when a competent authority requests it in accordance with the law.

5. How long we keep it

A contact request is kept for as long as needed to answer you and follow up on the consultation; the exact period will be stated when VietGara launches. Account data is kept while you use the service. When a garage closes its account, the garage’s data is deleted or anonymised as the Terms of use describe, except what the law requires us to keep.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), role-based access, separation of data between garages, two-step sign-in, hashed passwords and a log of important actions, and our staff read a garage’s data only when its owner allows it. No system is perfectly safe; if an incident affects personal data, we notify the authority and the people affected as the law requires.

7. Your rights

You may ask to know, access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, withdraw a consent you gave, and complain. Send your request to support@vietgara.vn; we answer within the time the law sets. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before.

8. Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell the users of the service.
